| You
are a professional photographer or an advanced amateur. You own
several SLR and medium format cameras, a collection of glass, a
studio lighting system, and at least one high-resolution digital
camera. You've been experimenting with digital photography and know
its time to really get involved.
You make your living doing shoots and selling prints; or someday you want to. You have at least one computer you use for all your business applications and may have recently purchased another one just for digital imaging. You can navigate your way around Adobe Photoshop pretty well and like reading articles or books so you can use it better. You have at least one photo-realistic printer in your studio, perhaps a more expensive wide format one too. The idea of calibrating your monitor makes sense to you. Gadgets don't scare you, in fact they are kind of cool. You understand what the word "calibrate" means and really like the idea of getting control of color in your digital darkroom. You like control, accuracy, and precision and especially the tools - both hardware and software - that give you these. Color management doesn't scare you. It goes with the territory.
